A message from Michigan Catholic Conference
Open Enrollment 2026 Starts Today

Dear [Honorific] [First Name],

The Michigan Catholic Conference (MCC) Open Enrollment period for your 2026 benefits starts today!

Key Dates

  • Open Enrollment Period: Wednesday, October 15 – Friday, November 7.
  • All elections and changes must be submitted by November 7th.

By now you should have received your Open Enrollment brochure in the mail. We want to acknowledge that there was a small mix up with the dates on the cover letter that was included. The correct start date for Open Enrollment is today, Wednesday, October 15th as indicated above. Our apologies for any confusion.

What is Open Enrollment?

Open Enrollment is the only time during the year you may change your benefit elections and enroll or remove a dependent without a qualifying event. Therefore, it is important for you to take this time to know your benefit offerings, review your current benefit elections, then make any necessary changes.

Read through the Open Enrollment material mailed to your home. It includes important information regarding pharmacy changes, the addition of the Health Savings Account and Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account, and the new annual maximums for flexible spending accounts.

What do I need to do during Open Enrollment?

  • Visit the Open Enrollment website at micatholic.org/oe26, where you can review helpful information and learn more about MCC benefit programs.
  • Check with your employer about which MCC plans are available to you, and the employee contribution amounts for medical, dental and/or vision plans.
  • Log onto MCC Employee Self-Serve (ESS) at micatholic.org/ess anytime to review your current elections, enrolled dependents, and beneficiary designations.
  • Enroll in your 2026 benefits and/or add dependents online at ESS or by calling the MCC Benefits Team during the Open Enrollment period at (800) 395-5565.

I am already enrolled in benefits. Do I have to re-enroll?

No. If you are happy with your current benefit plan elections and do not wish to enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for 2026, or add/remove dependents, then no action is required. Current elections and enrolled dependents will roll forward to 2026 (except for Flexible Spending Accounts) if you take no action.

You will not be allowed to change your 2026 benefit elections after November 7, 2025, unless you have a life event that qualifies for a change. Life events must be reported within 30 days of the event to make benefit changes. Only benefit changes consistent with the event are allowed.

Remember, Flexible Spending Accounts require an active enrollment each year.

Do you still have questions?
