Reminder
Spend your excess FSA dollars before the end of 2025

You can only carry over $640 of your Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) into a 2026 account—anything more will be forfeited. Now is the time to make FSA-eligible purchases and submit FSA-eligible expenses for reimbursement.

To spend down your 2025 balance, consider visiting the Health Equity FSA Store, which allows you to use your FSA dollars to purchase eligible FSA products.

Note: Expenses must be incurred within the 2025 calendar year, and all 2025 claims must be submitted before March 31, 2026.

Common questions
Your 2026 employee benefits

When do next year’s benefits kick in?

If you made changes to your employee benefits during the recent Open Enrollment period, those changes will take effect January 1, 2026.

To ensure your benefit selections are correct, please review your Annual Enrollment Confirmation Statement, which you should have received from your employer. Reach out to MCC if there are any issues.

Once 2026 arrives, check your first paystub to ensure all applicable payroll deductions are correct.

Am I getting a new insurance card?

Only if you made changes in your insurance coverage during Open Enrollment.

New medical insurance cards will be mailed by Blue Cross to the address MCC has on file for you before January 1, 2026.

Likewise, your new vision insurance cards will be mailed to the address MCC has on file for you—these will have Vision Only on the front.

You will not receive a card for your dental insurance because Delta Dental does not automatically provide ID cards unless requested. If you would like one, access the member portal, and after logging in, choose the “View & Print Member ID Card” option on the upper-right corner of the member portal landing page.

I enrolled in the MCC Health Savings Account—what do I need to know?

During this past Open Enrollment, medical-plan eligible participants, working at employers that use Paycor or Doreen Mayhew payroll, were given the opportunity to open and contribute, tax-free, to a Health Equity-administered MCC Health Savings Account (HSA). HSAs pair with a high-deductible medical plan to offer employees significant tax advantages on health care-related costs along with the option to invest your HSA dollars. By now, participants should have received their HSA Welcome Kit from Health Equity as they were mailed out in early December 2025. If not, please contact Health Equity at (866) 346-5800.

If you enrolled in an HSA, here a few quick tips to help you make the most of your account:

Make sure your account has been activated

Watch for a welcome kit from Health Equity so your employer and employee contributions can begin.

Use your HSA debit card

By January 1, 2026, you should receive your HSA debit card in the mail. You can use your HSA debit card to pay for eligible medical expenses. Be sure to save your receipts.

Check your contribution amount

You can adjust your contribution amount up to once a month for any reason at any time during the year, but be sure to stay within the IRS annual limits. The 2026 IRS limit for contributions is $4,400 per year for single coverage and $8,750 per year for family coverage (2 or more), which includes the employer contributions.

Remember—your HSA is yours

Funds rollover each year and stay with you even if you change jobs, switch medical plans or retire.

Add a beneficiary

Be sure to add a beneficiary to ensure your account is protected if something happens to you.

If you have additional questions about your HSA, the EB Team is here to help! You can call us at (800) 395-5565, or email at benefits@micatholic.org, Monday–Friday, 8:15 am to 4:45 pm (excluding holidays).

Spiritual direction, Catholic counselors, and more
Resources available to you through MCC’s new HOPE platform

MCC’s new Catholic well-being platform and Employee Assistance Program, HOPE, is rooted in the Catholic vision of the human person: Each of us, created by God, is a union of body and soul, with spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.

Unlike traditional employee assistance services provided through employers, HOPE integrates faith-based support. This includes the opportunity to make an appointment to receive spiritual direction from one of HOPE’s certified spiritual directors.

Spiritual directors are trained clergy, religious, or lay Catholics who can discuss an individual’s prayer life and help them recognize how God is speaking and moving in their lives. Consulting with a spiritual director can be helpful for Catholics to grow in their prayer lives and in their relationship with the Lord.

In addition to spiritual resources, HOPE can connect employees with a personal wellness coach, a local Catholic doctor, and Catholic counselors for faith-based mental health counseling.

The new platform and its services are available at no cost to all employees—no enrollment in MCC’s other benefits programs is required.

Plus, participants could win gift card prizes worth up to $2,000 by completing HOPE Wellness Activities on the platform.

To get started accessing the HOPE resources, visit micatholic.org/hope. Your initial username is your first initial + your last name + the last 4 digits of your social security number (formatted jsmith1234, for example) and your password is your date of birth (formatted mmddyyyy). After you first log in, you will be prompted to create a new user name and password.
